WGC Language and Tuition Centre Terms and Conditions
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian/student who has signed the booking/enrolment form to ensure they have read and agreed all the Terms and Conditions of the WGC Language and Tuition Centre. We reserve the right to change the Terms and Conditions without notice at any time. When changes occur, we will inform you without undue delay.
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian/student to inform WGC Language and Tuition Centre of any medical conditions and allergies. Please note: we do not give or distribute food to students during lessons at any time (drinking water is available), although students are permitted to bring their own food.
All our staff have First Aid training. In the event of an emergency, the parent/guardian authorises the WGC Language and Tuition Centre staff team to give permission for a doctor, paramedic or other appropriate medically qualified persons, to undertake whatever treatment is considered necessary.
All lessons must be paid for in advance. A non-refundable deposit is payable on enrolment (usually 10% of the fee). The balance of fees are payable at the start of each term. Payment can be accepted either in cash, bank transfer, or by cheque payable to Chunping Bush. Where a discount is available, only one type of discount applies, whichever is higher.
The course fee is non-refundable. We will use our discretion to reimburse the balance of fees in some circumstances, for example: if a student is not settling in the class and the parent decides not to continue for the remainder of the term. We are unable to refund missed lessons that may occur, including sickness, school, transport difficulties or holidays (during term time). However, alternative lessons may be available in some circumstances.
If WGC Language and Tuition Centre has to cancel a lesson, we will endeavour to reschedule an alternative lesson. When cancellation occurs we can only refund if no alternative lesson is provided by us. No refunds will be offered in the case of circumstances outside of our control such as adverse weather conditions, power interruption, and ‘acts of god’.
WGC Language and Tuition Centre does not accept liability for the loss or damage to any personal properties brought to any lesson and you are therefore requested to take care of your belongings at all time. From time to time we may provide a safe place to store valuable items should any need arise.
We reserve the right to remove from the class any child/adult whose behaviour is disruptive to the teacher or other students. Violent or abusive behaviour towards staff or other students will not be tolerated and in some cases will result in exclusion or, if appropriate, be reported to the police.
Absence and Punctuality:
We would ask that parents/guardians drop off and collect their children on time. Please notify us in advance if there is an emergency, unexpected delay or if your child is going to be absent.
Staying on Premises:
Parents/guardians are not generally encouraged to stay on the premises during the class except under certain circumstances where permission is given or if the child is under 3 years old. We welcome parents/guardians to speak to our staff team after class or on the telephone to discuss any questions you may have about the course, your child’s progress or our teaching.
WGC Language and Tuition Centre has appropriate insurance cover for the business.
All teachers are DBS checked. We will update staff DBS checks whenever necessary.
